Two turn Two

You are so loved – that’s what was going through my mind as I photographed Michael and Jonathan’s 2nd birthday party last weekend. It was so clear to see - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends (who seemed to be as close as family) were all there to celebrate with these little guys.

Their older cousin was so delighted with the pair and kept them entertained by jumping about, chasing balloons together and tickling them.

Their grandparents were just beaming, surrounded by all their beautiful grandchildren – snapping pics with their phones and dishing out cuddles.

There was that glorious chaos that only toddlers and young children seem to be able to get away with and excitement and noise levels were at an all-time high.

Their big sister and her friend entertained themselves in the cubby house, while others tried their hand at shooting hoops or tackling each other in the garden.

Meanwhile the adults played pass the babies - and who can blame them with so much cuteness?

The boys’ mom, Lindsey, outdid herself with a gorgeous three-tiered animal themed cake, impressing all the kids and adults! The boys just couldn’t wait to blow out the candles and then liberate the animals from the cake for a play on the deck.

Just before the end of the party and in true Melbourne style, the rain came down. This was no problem though as the boys retreated to the lounge for a pillow fight, the girls grabbed their umbrella and danced in the rain while others decided to call it a day and rest their eyes...

Lindsey and Shaun, thank you for trusting me to capture these special moments of your beautiful family, again.

xoxo
